Ioco

A historic townsite on the far shore, one of the most distinctive corners of Port Moody.

Overview

Life in Ioco.

Ioco began as a company townsite for the oil refinery that gave it its name, and pockets of that early-20th-century character remain. It is a small, storied area on the eastern reach of the inlet, quiet and green.

Development here is shaped by history and geography as much as by zoning. The neighbourhood's character and its heritage context are part of any conversation about change.

Parks
Near Old Orchard Park and the inlet shoreline, with the trails of Bert Flinn Park to the north.
Schools
Served by School District 43 (Coquitlam), the third-largest district in British Columbia.
Transit
Connected by bus around the inlet to Inlet Centre SkyTrain station.
